Depth-reducing pool platforms
Bespoke platforms that raise the floor of an existing pool, creating a shallow, stable teaching area without rebuilding the tank.
Most pools are built for one depth and then asked to do several jobs. A tank sized for lane swimming is too deep for infant lessons, too deep for aqua-aerobics, and unusable for rehabilitation work — so those sessions either do not happen or happen badly.
A depth-reducing platform solves that without civils. It is a modular PVC structure that sits on the pool floor and raises a defined area to a chosen depth, giving a stable, non-slip surface that a class can stand on. The pool keeps its full depth everywhere else.
Each platform is made to order. Pools are rarely rectangles: there are curved ends, steps, ladders, inlets and underwater lighting to work around, and a platform that does not fit is worse than none. So the process starts with a survey and produces technical drawings for approval before anything is manufactured.
Typical applications are infant and adult swimming lessons, aqua fitness classes, and physiotherapy or rehabilitation programmes where a participant needs to stand with their head clear of the water.
How it works
- 01
Enquiry
Tell us the pool, the sessions you want to run and the depth you need.
- 02
Survey and drawings
The pool is measured, including edges, ladders, lights and inlets. Technical drawings are produced for your approval.
- 03
Approval
Drawings and specification are signed off before manufacture begins.
- 04
Manufacture and installation
The platform is manufactured to the approved drawings and installed.
